Zippity

Back to birthday presents… I told you they got spoiled! We got them a Leap Frog game called “Zippity.” You plug the game up through your T.V. and its full of Disney games that teach kids to listen and follow. It teaches them their colors, shapes, simple addition, and much more. They LOVE it! Thank you Zippity on rainy indoor days!

Retour à cadeaux d'anniversaire ... Je vous ai dit qu'ils se gâter! Nous ons achete un jeu Leap Frog appelé "Zippity." Vous branchez le jeu à votre téléviseur et son plein de jeux de Disney qui enseignent aux enfants à écouter et à suivre. Il leur enseigne leurs couleurs, formes, plus simple, et bien plus encore. Ils adorent ça! Merci Zippity pour les jours que ils pluie!

Team Ice water

Every Thursday night Jake plays on a city league basketball team, their team name is “Ice water.” I know, gay. There's a story behind that but I stopped listening after about 10 seconds into it, it was just too painful/annoying to listen to. I must admit though, my husband still has some mad skills! Oh, and did I mention he knows that too? I decided to take the kids to watch their daddy hoop it up and he loved that we showed up but for some reason, every time I go and watch him, he always loses. Go figure. Anyway, I made popcorn for the kids and put treats in a ziplock bag for the game. They behaved very well and enjoyed watching their dad dunk the ball. Pierce kept asking me if he was “Number 2” and if he was wearing “Blue basketball shoes.” He probably asked me that 10 times. I’m glad he was able to point his dad out!

Then something happened that left me speechless. Something my daughter said. The naughty one…

A big guy that looked like Mike Tyson was sitting behind us on the bleachers and was wearing Diamond earrings, Cecily’s response in a really LOUD voice and pointing her finger was, “Maaaamaaaa, boys aren’t supposed to wear earrings!” All I can say is good thing he thought it was funny!


Chaque Jeudi soir, Jake joue dans une équipe de basket-ball, nom de l'équipe cest "Icewater.« Je dois avouer, mon mari joue encore tres bien et il le sait aussi! J'ai décidé de prendre les enfants de regarder leur père et il aimait que nous avons montré jusqu'à, mais pour une raison quelconque, chaque fois que je vais le regarder, il perd toujours. Ha ha

J'ai fait du popcorn pour les enfants et de bonbons dans un sac ziplock pour le match. Ils se sont comportés très bien et plu de voir leur père dunk la balle.

Puis quelque chose s'est passé qui m'a laissé sans voix. Quelque chose de ma fille a dit. Un grand homme qui ressemblait à Mike Tyson était assis derrière nous sur les gradins et portait Boucles d'oreilles diamants, la réponse de Cécile d'une voix vraiment fort et pointant son doigt, "Maaaamaaaa, les garçons ne sont pas censés porter des boucles d'oreilles!" Tout ce que je peux dire, c'est bonne chose qu'il pensait que c'était drôle!

Tour de Dallas, Little Warnock style

So for the kids birthdays, Maminou (my mom and what the kids call her) put us to shame and bought the kids bikes! Pierce got a Spiderman bike and Cecily got a Princess bike. They have been riding them in the house all weekend because it was raining and today was the first day they hit the open roads! Pierce was speedy and was always ahead of us. Cecily on the other hand was slowly getting the hang of it and did very well her first day. I am so proud of her!! After an hour in the smoldering heat, we topped the night off with some chocolate cupcakes, courtesy of Pierce and Cecily! From start to finish, they turned out pretty good!

Donc, pour les anniversaires des enfants, Maminou (ma mère et ce que les enfants l'appellent) a acheté des vélos enfants! Un vélo Spiderman pour Pierce et un vélo princesse pour Cecily. Ils ont été dans la maison tous le week-end car il pleuvait, et aujourd'hui c'était le premier jour ils ont frappé les routes ouvertes! Pierce a été rapide et a toujours été en avance sur nous. Cecily, d'autre part roule tous doucement et elle ete très bien sa première jour! Je suis tellement content d'elle! Après une heure dans la chaleur étouffante, nous en fini la nuit avec des petits gâteaux au chocolat, avec les mains de Pierce et de Cécily!

Under the Sea

The kids L.O.V.E. Arts and Crafts. A few times a week we will do different type of activities and one of those this week was learning about Ocean life. We talked about Star Fish, Fishes, Sharks, Sting Rays, Sea Horses, and many others. For their activity they cut out, colored, and glued them for their Ocean life books. Their Jellyfish and “Gold Fish” they made were adorable! I love seeing how much their drawings change over time. Cecily now can draw smiley faces and is now starting to draw “Mean girls” like Pierce does. Not sure why they are mean girls, they don’t look like mean girls. Ha ha

Les enfants A.D.O.R.E. de fair d’activities. Quelques fois par semaine, nous ferons des activités et de l'un de ceux de cette semaine a été l'apprentissage de la vie de l'océan. Nous avons parlé de les poissons etoile, poissons, requins, raies pastenagues, hippocampes, et bien d'autres. Pour leur activité, ils découpées, couleur, et coller pour leurs livres la vie de l'océan. Cetait adorable! J'aime voir combien leurs dessins changent avec le temps.

Happy Birthday!!!

I can’t believe I have a 3 year old, let alone a 5 year starting Kindergarten in one month! I am all about birthday parties but unfortunately it had been raining all week and on their birthday so we had to cancel the bounce house. It was sort of a bust for me, but the kids of course had a blast. They had so much stuff, it was ridiculous! Pierce’s birthday was a Pirate theme and Cecily’s was Barbie.They played games with the cousins, had a bbq, and enjoyed their new toys! They both got bikes for their birthdays from their grandma Maminou and the LOVE them!

Je ne peux pas croire que j'ai un enfant de 3 ans et un enfant de 5 ans à partir maternelle! J'aime les fêtes d'anniversaire, mais malheureusement il pleuvait toute la semaine et de leur anniversaire et nous avons dû rester à l'intérieur, mais les enfants avaient encore un bon moment. Ils ont eu tellement de choses, il était ridicule! L'anniversaire de Pierce a été le thème des pirates et de Cécily était Barbie. Les enfants a joué des jeux avec cest cousins, nous avons eu un barbecue, et elles avaient leurs nouveaux jouets! Ils ont tous deux obtenu des vélos pour leur anniversaire de leur grand-mère Maminou. Merci Maman!

Houston, again

We LOVE going down to Houston to visit our cousins Nick and Hillary, this was one of those trips we didn’t want to end. We drove down a Thursday afternoon and stayed until Sunday night. We went to the pool, ate at our favorite Mexican place Lupe Tortilla’s, went to the beach in Galveston, played our favorite game Settlers, and couponed through the wee hours of the night!

Nous aimons aller jusqu'à Houston à visiter nos cousins Nick et Hillary, ce fut un de ces voyages nous ne voulions pas mettre fin. On a partir jeudi après-midi et resté jusqu'à dimanche soir. Nous sommes allés à la piscine, mangé à notre favori mexicain place, “Lupe Tortillas”, se rend à la plage de Galveston, et joué notre jeu favori “Settlers tout la nuit.

Colorado & Charlotte's Blessing

Jake had a wonderful idea in blessing Baby Charlotte in Colorado so that his grandfather who is paralyzed could participate. We decided to drive through the night so that the kids would sleep, but boy were we wrong on that! Cecily stayed up and watched Matilda about 3 times, along with Monsters Inc about 2 times and slept a whole 2 of the 12 hour drive. We got into Canon City about 8am and the kids played until sunset that night. We spent about 4 days in Canon City, which is a little town about 30 minutes away from the Springs and the highlight there is Walmart!

The blessing was very special. Jake, his dad, and his grandpa all blessed Charlotte. It was a beautiful and emotional experience for everyone that was listening. Jake then went on and blessed Cecily and Pierce as well. It was a great weekend.

Jake a eu une idée merveilleuse de fere le bénédiction de Charlotte ons Colorado comme ca son grand-père qui est paralysé, pourraient participer. Nous avons décidé de conduire toute la nuit afin que les enfants dormaient, mais cest pas marche! Cecily a dormi 2 de l'entraînement de 12 heures. Nous sommes entrés chez Colorado vers 8 heures le matin et les enfants ont joué jusqu'au coucher du soleil cette nuit-là. Nous avons passé environ 4 jours à Canon City. La bénédiction a été très spéciale. Cetait une expérience magnifique et émouvant pour tous ceux qui était la.
