North Carolina, Beiber, and ROBOTS

North Carolina is a beautiful place and where the ACN headquarters are at. We went there for a short 2 days for work and had a great time there! I love going to these conventions, they are very inspiring. Motivational, and FUN. Here are some pics from the weekend. If there’s ever a time we have to travel for work, we always squeeze some fun in there.

Never Say Never

was actually a really good movie! The Underly girlies really wanted me to go see this movie with them when I expressed interest in seeing it, so I decided to go and see the movie (it was their 3rd time) and I must say I was very impressed with it all. He is one talented kid. It was funny because the girls were singing all the songs and even reciting lines from the movie already, I was smiling watching them. Jake was bummed I didn’t invite him (which was why we had the Beiber Bday party for him afterwards) We went to the 3D one, hence the glasses.

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket These little Robots we made with the kids turned out darling. They were so easy to make and the kids had a blast doing it! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Socks (again), 6am, Char, and BBall- it's not looking good people

Pierce woke up a little earlier than I did on Monday morning and I heard Charlotte crying and a bunch of noise in the kitchen. I got out of bed thinking, what in the world is going on and what is he doing?! (Because I knew it was Pierce) And when I walked into the kitchen, I found him on top of the counter shaking a sippy cup for his baby sister. Yes, that’s right, he made a “bottle” for his sister because she was crying. My heart immediately softened, it was the cutest most thoughtful thing I had seen him do. Little moments like this seriously make me melt inside, I love it. Wish I had my camera handy but it was too early for my mind to function.

Charlotte has been really busy lately. She’s moving around a whole lot more and does not like to stay in her car seat. She's doing this new thing and throws toys over this little ledge we have that seperates our kitchen and living room. Some pictures below show you that she is starting to climb up onto things, like our tv table. Ha!

She has added a few more words to her vocabulary like Duh and Nana. She loves to yell and hear herself talk. She has learned how to spit, throw food on the floor, and has mastered the “All done” hand sign. I have slowly introduced real food and she is loving it. She really likes Taco Soup, Mac & Cheese, Beans, Peas, Sweet Potato fries, all fruit, Quesadillas, Turkey, Chocolate Chip cookies, and Popsicles. Yes I know, I’ve pulled all the stops already. She just has quickly refused baby food (like the Chicken Noodle and Beef Vegetable stuff) I don’t blame her, so that’s why I’ve started so soon. She has put on the weight quite fast as well, which is a good thing.

As I have mentioned before, Cecily has been obsessed with wearing socks with everything, although it has gotten easier telling her no and her accepting it. I did however take a picture of what she was about to wear to her playdate, it was way too cute.

Yeah so I'm not going to pretend that he's good at basketball, I'm just going to lay it all out there. It's bad, its really bad. In his defense though, his father has not played basketball with him or practiced with him until pretty much now, so its really his first time being exposed to it. I took the kids to the park the other day to practice with Pierce specifically and he was more interested in finding the Bluebonnets I had talked about earlier that day instead of playing. Yeah so we need to work on this. He was really cute though at practice and is really working on his dribbling and getting better. Next season, we are going for something more physical. I'm putting him in Football. Yes, this will be interesting and worth stickin around for to see it all unfold. Bottom line, Jake better find a new day dream for his son because it doesn't involve the NBA.

the weekend

Sorry, I've run out of cute catchy titles lately...

Friday Cecily had a playdate with her friends from school and it was so fun to see interact with them. I got some cute pictures.

Soccer season has started again and Pierce did great at his practice, I can see that he's getting better and better! After practice, I picked up Sophie because I offered to take her to her Volleyball game so that Cheryl could go to the ACN meeting, on top of running all the other errands they needed to that day and it was so fun having her! Watching her play Volleyball brings back memories of when I played. I loved it back then too.

Anyway, she did awesome, she is one of the best ones on the team, I was so impressed with her. The kids had a blast watching her and were so good during all of it! After the game we got Ice Cream at Double Dip and went home. When Jake got home, we took Sophie and the kids to Taco Beuno for dinner and went to the mall to run some errands. We got home at around 8 and put the kids to bed and watched a movie together, love the chill nights.

Texas gets alot of bunnies, so at night you see them everywhere, I mean everywhere! I think they are cute but most people cant stand them because they eat your flowers, etc. We don't have any flowers so we don't mind. So on Sunday morning, the kids were up running around and noticed a bunny in the yard under the Trampoline. They sat and watched it eat from the window and loved it. When I came out to see what they were looking at, I saw it was the bunny and told them he was one of the Easter Bunny's helper coming to see if they were being good or bad. The last 2 mornings he's been there, so my story couldn't have worked any better. :) Since Sunday, they've been looking out the window and walking around the yard regularly to see if the Easter Bunny's helper is around. So cute! So EXCITED for Easter!

So, our company ACN was featured on the Celebrity Apprentice for the 2nd time on Sunday and last night they had a big premier thingy for the show and for new people hearing about the opportunity for the first time. It was so much fun! They had a red carpet rolled out like you were a movie star, a sweet Black Ferrari parked out front, and everyone watched the show all together, it was so fun!

I love this little face that Char makes. She looks alot like Pierce. Job well done & something sad

Today was a good day but flew by. Well, a good day for me anyway. Jake took Pierce to school this morning and got a speeding ticket, in a school zone. I have told my husband probably a million times that the 4 school zones I go through twice a day, 5 days a week are flooded by pestering cops. I’m not even exaggerating. Every morning and after school there is an unmarked Tahoe and "Chips" waiting to get you. They are such jerks to people too. It’s one thing protecting the kids and school area but its another when they are harassing people to meet their quotas. Anyway, he got a ticket for speeding, 33 in a 20. Can someone please beat him? :)

Other than that, I got a lot of cleaning and organizing done and even got ready for the day, I love it when that happens. I picked Pierce up and he was so excited to show me that he got his Six Flags ticket he earned for reading for 6+ hours. Have I mentioned he’s reading at 1st grade level already too? I am so proud of him for doing that and I think he understands that it took work too. I decided to take them to Orange Leaf for a little treat.

On a sad note…

A little boy of 2 years old was found close to a major roadway by our house (FM423) this afternoon all alone. Someone stopped and noticed that he was alone and getting close to the busy intersection and approached him to ask where his parents were. Without very much communication, he was able to get his name but that was about it. The man started going door to door and happened to knock on our cousin in law’s door to ask if the little boy belonged to her. After a few minutes of talking, they decided to call the police at that point and the search continued on for 45 more minutes. After Orange Leaf we drove over there to see what was going on. As we were driving over there, I was explaining to the kids that a little boy was lost because he left his house without his parents and now the police had him.
Yes, I was trying to scare them and I think it worked.

As we got closer to Katie’s house, the policeman had the little boy by his hand and walking down the street trying to figure out where he came from. I can’t even tell you the pit I had in my stomach. Can you imagine if that were your little boy?

Long story short, they figured out that he had walked almost a half a mile from his “Home day care” and the caregiver was not even there! A young teenager was left to watch the kids and somehow this little guy slipped away. They didn’t even know he was missing, from what I gathered. CPS was called immediately once the police were able to see the condition of this home in addition to no adult there.

Anyway, I thought I would share that since it was part of my day and as a mother, really made me have a sick feeling inside. I am such a helicopter mom when it comes to looking over and watching my kids, it gives me a ton of anxiety but it somewhat puts me at ease when I know where they are at and what they’re doing.

All I'm missing is a Pina Colada

Another pool day and I’m gonna have my tan on before the summer hits, I think that will be a first. I am such a sun person, I love the warmth on my skin and that it instantly puts me in a superfantastic mood. I really could live on the beach, you know. Anyway, I was just itching to be outside today and I wish I had my own pool, mainly for baby purposes. ( So I can relax and play with the older kids while Charlotte sleeps) Oh well, I guess it could be worse huh? Yes it could.

Anyway, I called my friend Cheryl and of course she was all for meeting me at the pool, I love that, spur of the moment people.
The kids played and squirted each other and we all had a great time. I could seriously do this every.single.day. Anyway, some cute photos to share…

Chapel of Love

"Going to the chapel and we're...going to get Maaarried."

So, as you may know, Cecily is in a Ballet/Tap dance class and she is just adorable in it. The routine they are doing for the recital is to that song and let me tell you, it is so stinkin adorable, it just melts your heart. I'm going to be one of the freaking out moms in the audience, I just know it. I know it.

My mother came to just about every dance competition, recital, and performance and everyone knew about her because she was always there with her camera and squeezing herself in front of people without caring who she was blocking. European people are kindof dominate that way but I can understand why now though, you want to be right there in the front to get those moments with your camera that you won't get again. Everyone called her "Maman" (or in english translation, "Ma Mo") I feel like I am my mother right now. Its kindof like a deja vu thing. I am just so excited, I can't even handle it.

Anyway, her recital is in May and they got their costumes today. I WISH I had my camera with me today, UGH!!! All the girls were trying the costumes on after class and Cecily was so excited, she was tightening up and shaking because she couldn't wait to try it on. I couldn't get it out of the bag fast enough for her. Oh I was just eating it up.

So, I obviously wanted to take pictures of her in it so when we got home, I had her put it on. Well, she hasn't really gotten the memo that she can't wear it to play in (It's not a princess dress) and it has to stay in the closet until recital time. So, I was not able to get a good picture because of a little melt down, but at least you have a sneak peak of it. It is just darling people.
