A bunch of stuff all together

Here's just a whole lotta pictures all in one,
it's too hard to go back and do an individual post
for every single thing this late in the game.

Some of my new years resolutions (Starting today)
is that I will keep up on my blog more regularly
start going back to the gym (have taken 3 months off,
not cause I wanted to), and re-organize my life since
its been crazy, crazy busy since July.

I will post later in a few days what has really consumed my
time and life lately. You know, the store.

Anyway, here are some pictures of some recent events.

He will listen if he has to.

So Mrs. Jones is a genius. i looooove her.
As I mentioned before I knew she would be an
excellent teacher… She does NOT take crap and holds these kids accountable for their own actions, including unfinished homework and such.
We’ve been reading consistently every night since school
started but one night, we were out late somewhere and came back home got ready
for bed and all of a sudden I hear Pierce freaking out about reading his book.

I thought to myself, what in the world is going on?
I soon found out that it was because if he doesn’t read every night and his reading
log isn’t signed, he has to stay 5 min inside while everyone else goes to recess.
Heaven forbid they miss recess. I guess things like this gets him listening, doesn't it.
I was smiling inside and thinking, wow… This teacher really knows how to get them motivated to read!
I love it
Every single night he reads and he is at a 2nd grade reading level already.
What a good boy…
He’s a smarty pants!

Caught him reading on his own in bed the other night... Sweetness right here!

First day of school pictures... and here we are basically at the end of the year already. My bad.

Angels & Bandits

It’s that time again, Soccer time.
I was back and forth on
whether to put Cecily in Dance again or have her try something new.
Last year
when Pierce played Soccer, she would always run around with the team and kick
the ball. She’s also a little more aggressive than Pierce so I figured it would
be a fun change for her.
So, we signed them both up.
Bandits and Angels.
Cecily was so excited to start playing and has been doing very well. She gets out there and
kicks the ball with the other girls and they all adore her, always calling her name.
Only one little problem though…
The Jersey.
It’s been a problem every Saturday morning
that it’s too big, ugly, and whatever else is wrong with it. I don't blame her though, what girlie girl wants to wear an oversized BLUE Jersey? Yeah, I get it.
By the time we get
her in the car and get to the field she’s settled down and puts her face on. Charlotte on the other hand, is in LOVE with Soccer.
She insists on having a ball at all times and actually dribbles it very well! We'll see about that though, I'd rather have them follow their mama's footsteps and dance.

Pierce still continues to play well and is getting better and better. Still has shy episodes though...

It's not Christmas

I’ve been begging
Jake for a while now on getting us a Wii.
yes, we are a little behind on getting one, I swear we were the only ones left that didn't own one.

Having 3 brothers, videos games were a huge part of our childhood and some of my best memories were staying up all night and playing Mario Kart and my favorite, Street Fighter, with my brothers.
We fought, cried, laughed, and bonded.
I wrapped each part of the game individually and colored all
over the paper. I numbered them in order of how they needed to be opened. It
was the neatest thing watching them guess and open each one. In fact, I wrapped
them early that day and set them on the table for all eyes to look at and lets
just say a lot of bribing/chores were done…
Once they opened the presents, we played till 11pm.
On a school night too.

Cecily's new Preschool

Today was Cecily’s first day at The Ark
A Little different
school than Applecreek since it’s at a Baptist church but it’s a brand new
school that is beautiful inside and they do a lot of neat things with the kids.

Cecily was so excited to go to school, mainly because of the cool playground
they have.
I was thinking this morning
with the excitement with the new school and stuff it would be an easier morning
to get dressed and all that. Um yeah, it wasn’t, who was I kidding?
We still argued about what she
was going to wear, how her hair was going to be, and all that…
We reached an agreement.
Or should I say she won because this was NOT what I had planned for her first day of school out fit.
OMGosh!
Her teacher is Ms. Bessie. Sorry, no pics of her, stay tuned for a later one maybe cause i know your dying to see what she looks like. :)
She’s kindof like a Maminou, a little older woman that’s super sweet
with her.

Huh? I have a First Grader?

It’s that time again, school starting and all the fun
Holidays to look forward to!
Pierce has been really excited to start school
again, he loves to learn. Last week we met his teacher at “Meet the Teacher”
day and she is going to be awesome, I can already tell. She’s one of those
women who won’t take crap from anyone but is also sweet and fun at the same
time.
Of course Pierce was his shy self and I could barely get a
smile out of him.
I LOVE his school and the
location of it. Meet Mrs. Jones…
