Sweetest Moments

So over the last few weeks in-between the no power cord, busy week and weekends, and leaving town, I haven’t had a lot of time to update my blog. It’s one of my new year’s resolutions, so I will get better at it. When I don’t do it, it really just eats at me. I think it does the same for my sister in law Colby, so I know I’m not the only one.

Anyway, this post is a special one. It’s some of the sweetest little moments I’ve gotten of my kids and luckily have had my camera nearby. I'm glad I record these little things because I want my kids to see them when they get older.

Enjoy.

After checking up on Cecily one last time before going to bed, she was no where to be found. I looked under her bed, in her closet, in Pierce's room upstairs, under our bed, in the bathroom, and the last place I checked which should have been the first, was Charlotte's room. And this was what I found. My two baby girls were sound asleep. Makes you smile doesn't it?

Charlotte sleeps in our bed. Alot. She had been sleeping for a while so I asked Jake to go and check up on her. He turned the light on and found this. Smiling and playing. Not a care in the world.

After picking Cecily up from School, I handed her a little Christmas M&M guy that was filled with the candies. When we got home, I went to get the girls out of the car and noticed something on Charlotte's face. Yes, chocolate all over her and Yes, she was feeding her 7 month old sister M&M's and she wasn't complaning one bit! I was trying not to smile while telling Cecily she can't feed the baby anything, but I kindof failed at that part. It was way too cute! Thank goodness it wasn't worse.

Pierce's school assignment was to decorate this Gingerbread Man for school how ever he wanted. He was so excited to do it and when he came home was so excited to tell me that his teacher said she LOVED it and all his friends said how much they liked it. He was SO happy about the compliments he got!

This was what I turned and looked at while Cecily was playing babies next to me while I was folding clothes. Kids really do pay attention to what you say and do. If you can't tell (because she got embarressed as soon as I got my camera out) she is nursing her baby doll.
