Crash- n- Burn

Pierce has gotten very good at riding his bike and we haven’t had any really bad crashes, except for today.

In his eyes anyway. The kids rode their bikes while I ran behind them. As we went around the block, he looked back at us and when he turned back around is when his balance got out of control and he fell. It wasn’t a bad one, just a little scrape and he got up and rode some more.

On the way back around the other side of the block, he was playing around and rode up a driveway and when he rode back down the driveway, his wheel turned too quick for him and that’s when the 2nd crash occurred.

Ouch… I ran over to him, even though im not a “Oh poor baby” kindof mom and gave him some love.

He was a little shaken up about it so I carried his bike home while holding his right hand. It was kindof sweet. He did allow me to take some pictures because I said I would take them to show his grandma’s. Which I noticed worked very well because he was all about the “Poor me.”

A lot like his father.

What a sweet little boy.

We Neosporin-ed it and bandaged it all up. He limped a little until no one was watching.

A lot like his father.

While that was happening, Cecily was on the floor telling me to wait because she was looking for an ow-ie for a Band-Aid. Did I love Band-Aids as much as these kids do? Um, not sure if I did.

Oh and I thought I would add in the ensemble, once again that Cecily has put together. This time, they were Charlotte's 18 month old pj's.

Bluebonnets n BBQ-ing

We've been waiting for some good sunny weather on a Sunday after church to take pictures with the Bluebonnets and today was that day. 90ish degrees and super windy but we were able to get a few but I'm sure you will get the idea. We will go back again and take some this week. After church and pictures, we had a little bbq at the park with the Underly's and had a blast! We grilled hot dogs, maple bacon wrapped shrimp & a special dipping sauce which is to DIE for, and strawberry shortcake for dessert.

The kids played at the park, football, and just hung out. We can't say enough how much fun we have with the Underly's. They are easy going, great friends. We are social people and we like to spend time with good friends and family, makes life so much more fullfilling! It's hard to find people like them. Can't wait for some fun things planned with them in the next few weeks! :) Anyway, enjoy the pictures! Photobucket

Climbing the fence for Sam to use the bathroom, only to find a chain was on the door. So she had to climb BACK over the fence to get out.

Starry night

Today was a busy day and guess what, I forgot my camera. UGH! I hate it when that happens!

The morning started off with a garage sale at my friends house, which was fun! I love garage sales. I love getting rid of crap, I like to watch what people shop for (which kindof goes along with people watching), and I like to make a little extra money all at the same time!

After the garage sale, we have a Soccer game (that we didn't make it to), a Gymnastics birthday party for Cecily (While Pierce watching from the chairs and complained the entire time of how it wasn't fair that he couldn't go), and a basketball game which Pierce did better at! He got a foul and rebounded the ball a few times. I was SO proud of him for being just a little more aggressive!

After the busy afternoon, we all went to the grocery store as a family and hung out with the some friends for alittle bit. The kids were super tired and awnry from the long day that we decided to call it an early night. When we got home, we decided to lay out on the tramp and look at the stars. The kids were a little recluctant at first and were scared but after a few minutes, they wanted to sleep out there! We looked at the stars, watched the airplanes fly over, listened to the crickets and wind, and just snuggled out there! It was so fun to just relax and enjoy the moments of life.

Peek a Boo's

Every day there is something new Charlotte does. I am so grateful I get to be home to see these moments on my own. I know I will look back when all my kids have grown up and remember I was there for those particular moments. Today Charlotte has mastered the Peek a Boo on her own. It is the cutest most adorable thing I have seen. She covers her eyes with her chubby hands and opens them up with with a huge smile on her face.

I love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love it! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Food, prizes, talks, and such

I think I can speak for many of us that General Conference always makes for a great weekend. I personally love it because we can learn and feel the spirit in our own home in the comfort of our pj’s. We began Sunday morning with a big surprise at the table for the kids. (This is the 2nd G.C that i've done this so the kids are really liking this, they now understand what "conference" is) Quiet kits, toys, some of their favorite snacks, and CTR badges to earn for good behavior were just a few things I had out for them. What kid doesn’t love waking up to surprises like that? I think it’s a good way to start the morning. Anyway...We followed that by having a great breakfast, French Toast, Eggs, Bacon, and Whole Wheat Muffins. YUM! The rest of the day went great, we were able to watch all of Saturday and Sunday's talks and the kids were great! She threw a fit when I took it away. Ha! Photobucket Photobucket

Sat er day FUN

Today was just what I needed, as I stated on my Facebook. I have really felt the repercussions of Jake being gone a lot this week with work because it’s the end of the month, Basketball nights, and such. I was feeling like I was just at ropes end and really irritable with the kids and pretty much anyone else I came in contact with.( Poor man from India who I couldn’t understand who called me, yes I was feeling a little cross with him.) Anyway… I don’t know how other wives do it- when their husbands work out of town or even longer hours than Jake because let’s face it, we know he likes to play rather than work. So, today was one of those feel good family days. We started off with Pierce’s first Soccer game of the season and he did awesome!! He actually scored his FIRST goal, can you believe it??!! Except there’s one little problem… It was for the other team he scored it for. But hey, that’s ok! He did so well today and watching him kindof gave me that choked up little feeling in my throat for a second. You know that feeling I’m talking about ,right? I was so proud of him, it was by far his most aggressive game. We are still working on it though and I think by the end of the season he will be a completely different player. After the game, we came home and played & cleaned the cars outside. It was in the high 80’s today so it was a good day to be out and just having a good time. The kids rode their bikes, caught bugs, helped clean the cars, made forts in the garage with all our junk, and ate Taco Bell for lunch in the garage, Picnic Style. After several hours of that, we got cleaned up and got ready for Pierce’s Basketball game. This Basketball game was Capital H- ilarious! I wish I had a short video clip of it so that we are on the same page, but maybe next time. These kids are just so funny and their little personalities come out and their competitiveness is very present! Although Pierce didn’t touch the ball once and just basically ran back and forth up and down the court, he did have a great time. What was so funny was Jake Morphew who is wow, just hilarious! He is such a funny kid and even though they were playing bball, he certainly had some football stunts he was pulling. One stunt in particular was when he got the ball and a kid on the SAME team took the ball from him because he wasn’t passing it to anyone and that’s when jake came unglued! All of a sudden , he face turns into “I’m gonna kill you” , his head bears down and he starts sprinting to the opposite side of the court to get this team mate who took the ball from him. He did manage to push him and say a few words I think but it was just too cute for words and we were all cracking up! He is actually a pretty good little basketball player and a tough guard! All these little kids are just so fun to watch, we all were dying! Pierce did a good job though (even though he got smacked in the face with the ball when someone was trying to pass it and he wasn’t paying attention), he will get better and whats good is that he enjoys is and really practices on his dribbling. He is almost there in making a basket, probably by next week it will get in there.

We ended the night with watching Jurassic Park with the kids. Yes, its a little much for them but there is just something cute when the kids are kindof scared and cuddle up with you. I know, its kindof cruel. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

They wanted to have a "sleepover" after watching Jurassic Park. Ahhhh.... Photobucket
