They really, really worked

I was up late last night catching up on The Apprentice (Can’t stand that David), getting my Monkey Bread ready for the morning and, crossing my fingers that these goody baskets I have spent all night working on are a hit.

I love conference weekend. One because we are privileged to hear from our Prophet, seers, and revelators, it’s a weekend full of spiritual guidance and takes us away from the world for just a little bit when we live in such a place of moral drift, unrest and fear to name a few. And... two because we get to lounge around in our pjs all day and eat yummy food. One is way more important though, I lounge around all day in my pjs anyways and eat yummy food.

So, we got up about 9 and made breakfast. I put the Monkey bread in the oven, which turned out delicious btw, and made Mickey Mouse Pancakes for the family, the kids loved it. Once breakfast was over I told them to close their eyes and I would get them their conference baskets. Pierce was peaking the entire time. Like I couldn’t see that! Ha ha As you can see below, they were way excited. Now, Pierce asks if it’s going to be conference again next Sunday. What a cutie!

In the baskets some of the things included were-Print outs to make notes & color throughout the talks, crayons, some of their favorite treats, “Bible” coloring books, playdoh, Halloween stamps, and puzzles to name a few. I was so excited getting all the stuff ready. I printed out the CTR shields and glued them to the front of their folder and inside put a bunch of scratch paper.

And… it was all a success. One of the first times Jake and I were able to listen to conference without a bunch of noise, and thank goodness because this weekend was amazing. (not like it usually isn’t or anything)

J'aime le week-end de la conférence. Un parce que c'est un week-end complet de la direction spirituelle de notre prophète, Thomas S. Monson, et deux, parce que nous obtenons de se prélasser dans nos pyjamas toute la journée et manger de la nourriture délicieuse.

Dans les paniers certaines choses ont été inclus pour prendre des notes et des couleurs dans les pourparlers, crayons, certains de leurs friandises préférées, «Bible» des livres de coloriage, pâte à modeler, et puzzles pour n'en nommer que quelques-uns. J'étais tellement excitée obtenir tous les trucs prêt. Espérons que tous ces préparatifs seront payants afin que nous puissions écouter et encore les uns les autres, ensemble comme une famille.
