Cecily's big day

This is it, Cecily’s first day at Preschool! I woke the kids up this morning at 6:45 so I could get them both ready for school and it went better than I thought it would. Cecily popped right out of bed and was anxious to get her school clothes on and bring her back pack with her. I dropped Pierce off at school and then took Cecily to Applecreek. She was so excited, I couldn’t stand it, it was so adorable! Before they opened the doors, I took a few pictures of her. Some of them aren’t very good because she wanted to go inside instead of getting her picture taken.

So, we walked in and walked to her classroom. The first thing you do each morning is find the apple that has your name on it and stick it to the apple tree. After she found her name, she put her back pack in her cubby and sat down at the table with playdoh. I instantly felt a sense of peace knowing that she was ok with me leaving her because that hasn’t always been the case. We’ve had a few rough months with nursery so I’m just thrilled she did great today. When I picked her up she was so excited and the first thing out of her mouth was,“ I want to come back to school tomorrow!” Yay, I’m so glad today went so well!

La premier jour de Cécily à l'école maternelle! Je suis réveillé les enfants ce matin à 6h45 pour que je puisse les obtenir à l'école et il s'est mieux passée que j'ai pensé. Cecily était tellement content, je ne pouvais pas le supporter, il était tellement adorable! Avant, ils ont ouvert les portes, j'ai pris quelques photos d'elle. Certains photos ne sont pas très bonne car elle voulait aller à l'intérieur au lieu de se faire prendre en photo.

Donc, nous sommes allez dans sa salle de classe. La première chose à faire chaque matin est de trouver la pomme qui a votre nom et le coller sur le pommier. Après elle a trouvé son nom, elle a mis sa sac à dos dans son cubby et s'assit à la table avec pâte à modeler. J'ai immédiatement senti un sentiment de paix en sachant qu'elle était ok avec moi parce que son départ n'a pas toujours été le cas. Lorsque je l'ai ramassée, elle était tellement content et la première chose de sa bouche: «Je veux revenir à l'école demain!" Yay, je suis si heureuse aujourd'hui allait si bien!

Little Goose

While I was pregnant with Charlotte I had a few anxiety moments where I would think to myself, what have I done, I can’t handle 3 children, how am I going to do it all and still keep my sanity, etc etc. Well, sometimes I’m a little irrational and stressed out but for the most part, I love every second of it all. I love to be busy, I love each one of my kids for their different personalities and qualities they portray, and I love the little moments when they really need you.

I have to admit, throughout my pregnancy, I had mixed emotions of having this 3rd baby. I think all mothers go through this at some point in their pregnancy, especially on the days where you’re most uncomfortable, nothing fits and you feel disgustingly obese, and you’re up several times during the night to urinate. A 3rd baby is a scary number too, let’s just be honest here….You’re out numbered!

However, this 3rd loveable, chubby, full of smiles little baby is the best thing that has happened to me lately! She brings so much peace and love in our home and I hate to think this could possibly be our last baby! I love the way she smells, smiles, sleeps, kicks her chubby legs, and makes her silly noises. She makes a bad day turn good in seconds. I LOVE this baby girl!!!!

Ok so I guess you're maybe wondering why the name "Little Goose". With all of our kids we have come up with nicknames and Little Goose just seemed to fit perfectly with Charlotte. Jake has actually come up with all of our kids nicknames too, funny huh. So Charlotte is "Little Goose", Cecily is "Bean Bean" and Pierce used to be "Piglet" and is now "Bubba". I'm just going to go ahead and say it, Bubba is kindof white trash (Remember from my earlier post that if you don't like something I say, then don't read my posts) but Jake came up with the name Bubba and now Cecily calls him that which is kindof embaressing when we are in public and she yells out "Bubba." Oh well, I guess she could call him worse!


Below I have posted some newborn and recent pictures of Charlotte that my cousin Hillary did for us. She is an amazing photographer, I wished she lived closer, I LOVE her! So, here’s a shout out to Hillary, if you need pictures done, let me know and I can get you in touch with her.

Oh, and one more thing... It is official, she is a thumb sucker 100%. Kindof cute but not good. I guess I will just deal with it later. :)

Ma petite oie Alors que j'étais enceinte avec Charlotte j'ai eu un moment d'anxiété peu de cas où je pense à moi, qu'ai-je fait, je ne peut pas gérer 3 enfants, comment vais-je le faire tous et toujours garder ma santé mentale, etc etc Eh bien , parfois je suis un peu irrationnel et stressé, mais la plupart du temps, je l'aime chaque seconde de tout cela. J'aime être occupé, j'aime chacun de mes enfants pour leur personnalité et de qualités différentes qu'ils représentent, et j'aime les petits moments quand ils vraiment besoin de moi.

Je dois admettre que, tout au long de ma grossesse, j'ai eu des sentiments mitigés d'avoir ce 3ème bébé. Je pense que toutes les mères passent par ce à un moment de leur grossesse, surtout les jours où vous êtes le plus mal à l'aise, rien ne correspond et vous vous sentez dégoûtante obèses, et vous êtes à plusieurs reprises au cours de la nuit pour uriner. Un 3ème bébé est un nombre effrayant aussi, nous allons juste être honnête .... Vous êtes en numérotés!

Toutefois, cette adorable 3e, joufflu, plein de sourires petit bébé est la meilleure chose qui m'est arrivé dernièrement! Elle apporte la paix tant de l'amour dans notre maison et je déteste l'idée de ce pourrait être notre dernier bébé! J'aime la façon dont elle sent, sourit, dort, coups de pied les jambes potelées, et fait des petit bruits. Elle fait une mauvaise journée bon tour en quelques secondes. I LOVE cette petite fille!!

Ci-dessous, j'ai posté quelques photos du nouveau-né de Charlotte que mon cousin Hillary a fait pour nous. Elle est une photographe extraordinaire, je voulais elle a vécu de plus près, je l'aime!

The end

It has been so incredibly fun with the Howland’s living with us for a month and I am so sad that it has ended. Most of my family lives in Europe or spread out in other states so really my only family is my mother here, so anytime Jakes family/extended family is around or in town, I absolutely love it. There is never, ever, ever a dull moment.

Although Nick was working most of the time we still all had some great nights of Settlers, Ticket to Ride, Movies, Dinner, and Swimming to name a few. This trip I really got to know Hillary better and it was a sad day when they left. It was almost like breaking up with someone, that’s how I would describe it! Ha ha You’re with them for so long and then all of a sudden you part ways. I knew it would be sad but I didn’t think I would cry over it. I know, I’m a baby. What’s really sad is that they are moving to Colorado for a few months, so it’s not like I can hop in my car and drive down to Houston, because I would.

Thank you Hillary for the fun times, for listening, for late night games, for your expertise in couponing, all your fabulous recipes and cooking, 30 day shred, Beans, Gap shopping, Chocolate breaking a key off this keyboard, your creative photography, knocking some sense in my husband, dealing with my kids, stinky smells & sounds, McDonalds, sunbathing, sisters, eyelash wearing month full of amazing memories I will always remember! I love you guys! LYLAS

Il a été si incroyablement avec les l'Howland qui a vivre avec nous pendant un mois et je suis si triste qu'elle a pris fin. La plupart de ma famille vit en Europe ou de la propagation dans d'autres Etats si réellement ma seule famille, c'est ma mère ici, en tout temps la famille Jakes / famille élargie est de l'ordre ou en ville, je l'aime absolument. Il n'y a jamais, jamais, jamais un moment d'ennui.

Bien que Nick a travaillé la plupart du temps nous avons encore tous eu des nuits beaucoup de colons (a jeu) , Les Aventuriers du Rail, Cinéma, dîner, et la natation pour ne citer que quelques-uns. Ce voyage j'ai vraiment appris à connaître Hillary mieux et ce fut un triste jour quand ils sont partis. C'était presque comme la rupture avec quelqu'un, c'est comme ça que je qualifierais! Ha ha Tu es avec eux depuis si longtemps et puis tout d'un coup une partie des moyens que vous. Je savais que ce serait triste, mais je ne pense pas que je pleure sur elle. Je sais, je suis un bébé. Ce qui est vraiment triste, c'est qu'ils se déplacent au Colorado pour quelques mois, donc ce n'est pas que je peux hop dans ma voiture et à réduire à Houston, parce que je voudrais. Merci Hillary pour tout!

More fun days

As you can tell by some of my earlier posts, we have been very busy trying to entertain the kids this summer and its been a blast! I have decided to group a bunch of our activities in this last summer post so that I can move on to new ones! I’m sad to see summer end and I never thought I would say that. Goodbye 100 degree weather, hello to the 90’s!

This summer it was rare that we didn’t go to the pool every day, that’s one of the things I love about Texas, all the communities have pools and ours happens to be the less busiest so most of the time we would have the pool to our self. So, here are some pool pictures (Pierce AND Cecily can now both swim without floaties) YAY! Below are some pictures of our trip to our local splash park, some other crafts we did, and so on. Enjoy!

Comme vous pouvez le dire par certains de mes postes précédents, nous avons été très occupés à essayer de divertir les enfants cet été et sa été un coup! J'ai décidé de regrouper un tas de nos activités dans ce poste l'été dernier pour que je puisse passer à de nouveaux! Je suis triste de voir fin de l'été et je n'ai jamais pensé que je pourrais le dire. Météo Goodbye degré 100, bonjour à la 90's!

Cet été, le plus achalandé, il était rare que nous n'avons pas aller à la piscine tous les jours, c'est une des choses que j'aime dans le Texas, toutes les communautés ont des piscines et le nôtre se trouve être le moins la plupart du temps, nous aurions de la piscine à notre auto. Alors, voici quelques photos piscine (Pierce et Cecily pouvez maintenant nager sans floaties) YAY! Meet Ms. Kathy & Ms. Tatia

Cecily has been so excited to go to “AppleCreek” because Pierce went there and now she gets to bring her back pack and leave the house just like her brother. She feels so big! Today was meet your teacher day and she was so excited to meet them. She kept asking me if I was ”Dropping her off” and every time I said no, she would freak out. She really wanted me to just leave her there, it was kindof cute!

As soon as we pulled up to the school, I took a few pictures of her (which had to do with some bribing because she doesn’t like getting her picture taken) and one of them below was when she was getting tired of posing for the camera and said, “There’s not a buggy on your camera Mama!” (for picturing taking purposes I ask her if I have a bug on my camera, guess I better come up with something new)

There are 14 kids in her class and 2 teachers, Ms. Tatia and Ms. Kathy. Ms. Tatia graduated from BYU, which I thought was neat since you don’t find very many lds people here. Anyway, right when she walked into class, she went straight for the play kitchen and food and then went over to the bin of babies and started to play. A few minutes of letting her play, she said “Ok Mama, see you later!” Leaving got a little hairy for a second until her teachers came over and explained to her she was to come back next week, her attitude changed quickly.

It was so adorable to see her get excited about going to school, it was seriously the cutest thing ever! Where has my little girl gone, she is growing up way too fast!

Then, last but not least we ended the day with the kids making their own pizza. We bought the pizza dough from Papa Murphys and got all the ingredients for the kids to make the pizza and it actually turned out pretty good! Fun activity.

Cécily a été tellement content d'aller à "AppleCreek" parce que Pierce y sont allés et maintenant, elle obtient de lui apporter sont sac et quitter la maison, tout comme son frère. Elle se sent si grand! Aujourd'hui, c'était répondre à la journée des enseignants et elle était si heureux de les rencontrer. Elle me demandait si j'étais "la laisser " et chaque fois que je l'ai dit non, elle serait freak fache. Elle m'a vraiment voulu tout laisser là,cetait mignon!

Il ya 14 enfants dans sa classe et 2 professeurs, Mme Tatia et Mme Kathy. Mme Tatia diplômé de BYU, que j'ai trouvé était cool, puisque vous ne trouvez pas beaucoup des gens qui son morman. Quoi qu'il en soit, le droit, quand elle marchait dans la classe, elle est allée directement pour la cuisine et l'alimentation jouent, puis se dirigea vers la boite avec les bébés dedans et a commencé à jouer. A quelques minutes de la laisser jouer, elle a dit "Ok maman, je te voir plus tard, Ciao!" Il était si adorable de voir son s'enthousiasmer aller à l'école.
